What I Do

I help people work together
and decide what to do next.

When a sustainability issue crosses organisations or sectors, someone needs to bring the work together. That is where I can help.

How I can help

Three ways to get the work moving.

The right role depends on the challenge. I can help lead a transition, build a coalition or plan the conversations that people need to have.

01

Transition leadership

I help give direction to sustainability work that involves several teams or organisations. We agree what needs to change, who is involved & what happens next.

Strategic direction, programme coordination and support to keep the work moving.

02

Coalition building

I help bring organisations around a shared goal & make the partnership workable for the people in it.

Agreeing a common purpose, clear roles & a practical way to make decisions together.

03

Strategic stakeholder engagement

I help plan & lead conversations with the people affected by, or needed for, a change.

Listening to different views, understanding what matters and finding a next step people can support.

How I approach it

First, understand
what’s getting in the way.

I start by listening. What is the issue? Who needs to be part of the answer? Where do views differ? From there, we can agree a sensible next step.

A simple way to begin

Four useful questions.

Every situation is different. These questions help us work out where to start.

01

What needs to change?

What is the issue, and where does progress feel stuck?

02

Who needs to be involved?

Who is affected, who can decide & who can help?

03

What can we agree on?

Where is there enough common ground to work together?

04

What happens next?

What decision or action would make a useful difference now?
